Our Aims
As a charity within the Diocese of Canterbury, we work in communities to alleviate issues of poverty, marginalisation, and vulnerability, especially the homeless, refugees and asylum seekers, and those leaving prison into homelessness. Our projects range from local, to national and international. We deliver our work through innovative partnerships creating a framework for others to respond to social challenges.
Engagement
We engage with many partners, including charities, voluntary organisations, and local authorities to encourage a shared approach to responding to poverty and marginalisation. We offer practical advice and guidance to individuals, communities, and parishes, who are considering how they can better serve the socially and financially deprived.
Faith In God
Our network expresses our faith in God, and aims to live out the Diocese of Canterbury’s mission of ‘Changed Lives, Changing Lives’, seeking to show the love of God in practical action for those most in need, responding to God’s call to love one another, and to act justly, love mercy, walk humbly and show compassion to all.

Could You Offer a Warm Welcome and a Safe Space?
The Canterbury Diocese’s Social Justice Network is seeking a kind and compassionate host to offer a spare room to a young adult woman supported through our Refugee Programmes.
She is a devout Christian with an excellent command of English and a vibrant life of faith and volunteering. Providing her with a safe and welcoming home will allow her to continue her studies and remain actively involved in her local church community.
Hosting would be arranged through trusted charity at Refugees at Home, who are experts in supporting hosts and guests. They offer guidance, safeguarding, and ongoing support to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
We are ideally looking for someone based in Canterbury or nearby, with a spare room to offer. Your generosity could make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.
